What the procedure involves
Breast cancer treatment is a sequence, not a single operation. Depending on stage and receptor status it may involve surgery (breast conservation or mastectomy, with sentinel node biopsy or axillary clearance), chemotherapy before or after surgery, radiotherapy, and hormonal or HER2-targeted therapy lasting months to years.
